Random dinner: a brown and wild rice pilaf with dried cranberries, pecans, and green onions; yam fries with Vegenaise for dipping, and edamame with Earth Balance and a pinch o' salt

  5. Catherine - the food looks great!! I love the potstickers (what did you fill them with?) and the rice pilaf (I need the recipe!).

I had a ton of fun with you today at "the black hole of death" and can't wait to meet up again. You're a great person!!

  6. Melody, I'm glad the soup continues to be a hit! I have been told by both herbivores and omnivores that my CCCs are the best CCCs they have ever had! I think it all comes down to the chocolate chips -- I'm picky and I only buy the best!

Vicki, the hazelnut Silk is my new favorite thing. I usually take my coffee black, but the creamer is a major treat! Yum.

Jess, I hear ya! I love soup, and I LOVE fall. It's my favorite season, and it doesn't last nearly long enough here!

Thanks, Johanna! I've been working hard on my photo taking/food styling a bit lately . . . !!

Crystal, I had so much fun with you today too! I heart shoes. :) We'll definitely have to get together again sometime soon. (We should do a dinner "potluck" one night, maybe?) Kitchen Window, (and aprons,) here we come! BTW, I filled my potstickers with mushroom, edamame, ginger, and garlic, and the brown and wild rice pilaf actually wasn't that good, so once I perfect the recipe, I'll send it your way!

  7. I love this post. Everything looks amazing. I like how you omitted the worshestire sauce from the lenties. I will totally eat them now!

I love your Ikea snack set, that display of food looks wonderful in and on it. And that alphabet soup is the cutest, so great you spelled vegan!

I've never had a scrambled tofu but yours looks the best that I have seen ever.
