I just read the comments below about the Dan vs Oliver situation... Wow, thanks for believing in my advice everyone. Catherine, I hope it works. I think having Dan play with him, giving him treats and feeding him (once in a while) could help. I do think that the energy given off by Dan (his feelings for you) is felt by Oliver and he is feeling territorial and defensive and maybe even protective of you. I'm sure, with time, he'll open up. Good luck.
