UGH.

It's officially summer -- the projected high is 90 degrees Farenheight for today! Blech. Ugh. Ew. It's also REALLY humid.

Can you tell I'm not a fan of summer? :)

P.S. No A/C for me -- take pity on Oliver.

:-( I actually really don't like summer a whole lot either, but I love growing food, sun tea, and the abundance of produce. But I HATE sweating, seriously. Ick.

Poor Oliver. I actually feel bad for Gabby and Nermal, we rarely run our AC. It's a window AC anyway, it sucks, it will make one room freezing while the rest of the apartment is still boiling hot. We try to just keep things open and use fans.

Oh Catherine, I hear ya! I dread summer every year. Although there are nice days scattered throughout, the heat waves kill me. It's never just hot; it's always hot, hazy & humid. People rave about summer and say they love the heat. Whatwhatwhat? Crazy people! It seems I spend more time inside in the summer than I do in the winter. Lucky for us in Southern Ontario, it's been forecast that it will be "below seasonal" for this time of year, and lots of rain. It has rained everyday for the past 2 weeks. Not all day, but a rainstorm of some sort. We've even had hail twice! The running joke is now "Wasn't it great? It DIDN'T rain today." I'm sure the icky, sticky, gross weather will be here soon enough, so I'm going to enjoy this!
BTW, please send me your e-mail address and I'll send you the recipe. I'm at scarycarrie_ca@yahoo.com

You have my sympathy. . . I used to dread the really humid days, too, until we moved into a place with A/C (which seems to be the case in most places in Toronto, these days, as our summers tend toward 90F days as well!).

I feel you on the heat...it's been around 110 here in the heat of the day. I have so many errands to go on...but I don't want my face to burn off!! :)

I feel your pain! Biking home today it was 89 (I checked on-line before I left the office) and really really humid and gross. And I came home to my apt without AC too! I almost want to go back to work, just for the AC...almost!

Why do we live in MN again?!
