Since I didn't do any shopping this past weekend, I thought I'd post two questions this week!
What are your top five favorite/most used/can't live without kitchen gadgets/pieces of equipment?
What are your top five most favorite flavors or ingredients with which to cook?
(Your answers will help with the cookbook writing process, in the first full chapter, "Getting Started.")
Thanks!

ooh, I must add a number 6 (or you can count mine as zero), even though Steph said it... OLIVE OIL. That's a must.
I agree - olive oil needs to be on my list too. Although I've noticed our consumption has decreased on olive oil lately. I guess that's fine since it is spendy!

Crystal, I love cheese too . . . I just don't eat it that often. Cheese and Diet Coke are my "bad food" treats. :)
Hello Steph! Welcome. I love my broiler, too, especially since I don't own a toaster. :)
Leslie, I guess I should get a wok, too! I often have flying food when stir-frying, and I suppose the high sides of the wok keep the goodies in the pan? Too many things on my shopping list! You love your garlic press? I love garlic, but I can't imagine giving up the pleasure of whacking a clove or two with my (formerly meat)-mallet or the side of my knife, throwing away the peel, and running the knife through it a couple of times to mince! I'm silly, and I've watched too many cooking shows.
Vicki, is it you or the girls who love the cookie cutters? :)
Courtney, I haven't warmed to nutritional yeast yet. Would you call it an acquired taste?
AND, I forgot a loved food on my list . . . AVOCADO! Whoops.
I would call nutritional yeast an acquired taste - I don't think I've ever heard of anyone loving it right off the bat.
