Maybe you buy so much food cos you're writing a cookbook :-)
In answer to yesterday's question - I think it is really important to keep the price down. I'm 17 and at uni and the sole reason I own no vegan cookbooks is that I can't afford them. Pictures would be great, of course, but I think one of every recipe is too much. Have you seen Dreena's The Everyday Vegan? There is a section in the middle with about eight photos of a selection of recipes and it is really cool. Personally though I would rather see more dessert pics! I'm not sure on the idea of having 'real' pics (ie spilled soup etc), but I'm a clean freak so that might be me. Hope this helps!

Freedom, thanks for the input! I guess the grocery list extravaganza is due, in large part, to cookbook testing. Although I did blunder a little -- I already had an entire bag of unopened blueberries in the freezer! Sheesh.

Mary, I'm excited for the smoothies -- I get a different one for breakfast every day this week! I need to get the measurements down exactly, in order to include them in the cookbook.

Kleopatra, I haven't tried the cookie avalanche yet, but cookies and cream is one of my all-time favorite ice cream flavors, and this is the first time I've found it! SO excited. I'll let you know how fabulous it is when I taste it!

Is the "stick it to me" a carrot smoothie by chance?

Great list. All that produce is great. That ice cream is amazing. If I bought it (this is why I don't anymore), I'd eat the whole pint!!! Now I stick to the quarts and spoon into small bowls.

How is the Follow your Heart" cheese? (vegan, right?)

Leslie, the "stick it to me" is a peanut butter, banana, and granola smoothie -- so loaded it sticks with you for a while. And sadly, my co-op doesn't stock the cookies 'n' cream quarts, so I had to settle for the pint. :)

Urban Vegan, I've had the Follow Your Heart mozzarella at a pizza joint near my house, and liked it a lot! I'm excited to try cooking with it -- I'm going to make my first ever vegan pizza later this week. :)
